Kurt Perkins was born on September 7, 1969 and was raised and worked on a large farm in Stamford, Nebraska.  Kurt attended public school in Alma Nebraska and was involved in speech, debate, high school drama, and music.  He also kept busy with Football, Wrestling and Track.  Kurt was State champion in speech and was All Conference in football and earned top honors in music voice competition. In 1987, Kurt graduated from High School and followed his parents to Minnesota where his father accepted a position with Armstrong Trucking in South St Paul, MN.  Kurt attended North Central University in Minneapolis, MN where he studied Communications with his scholarship for Drama and Fine Arts.

 

In 1989, Kurt was married to his high school sweetheart, Anitta, from Kearney, NE.  They moved to Woodbury, MN and resided there until they purchased their first home in Cottage Grove, MN in 1992 and continue to reside in Cottage Grove today.  Kurt is also a father of two children who attend Cottage Grove Junior High and Crestview Elementary.     Kurt stays involved with his kid’s school.  Kurt & Anitta volunteer on a regular basis at their local public school to maintain a good relationship with their kids and teachers. Kurt & Anitta run a Piano Studio out of their home and are very involved in their local church.  Kurt has been a leader to his church’s youth.  Last year Kurt was able to escort and counsel children at summer camp.  Kurt has served on the board of directors for the past 15 years.  Kurt performs in lead roles and every year for theatre productions at Christmas and Easter.  Kurt has volunteered as bass guitar player at his local church for the past 20 years Kurt still has a love for sports and has volunteered as a coach and as an official for youth football.  Kurt’s wife, Anitta, is a piano teacher and an active member of the Community Education Advisory Council and Life Long Learning Foundation.

 

 

Professional:

 

Kurt started his career while going to college in 1988 where started working for United Parcel Service.   Kurt quickly was promoted to a Supervisor in 1989.  In 1992 Kurt went to work for a local Auto Body business where he became a damage appraiser and customer service manager.  Kurt was promoted to manage his own store in 1994.  In 1999 Kurt received an offer to manage Tousley Collision & Glass, one of the largest Ford Collision repair centers in the Midwest.   Kurt still continues to work as the manager for Tousley Collision and Glass in White Bear Lake, MN.   Throughout Kurt’s career in the auto body industry he has consistently been a top performer.  Kurt’s strengths in business are people relations, high quality customer service and good money management.
