It is with humility that I, Kurt Perkins, announce my candidacy for State Representative for District 57A (South St. Paul, Newport, St. Paul Park and Cottage Grove) in November 2008.

 

I have a passion for people and public affairs. I am committed to stand up as a public servant and a voice for our community. I am an involved member of this District as I have lived in Cottage Grove for the last 15 years. I understand what it means to work hard every day to pay my taxes, mortgage, and support my family. I am currently a successful leader and manager in the workforce, and have been for the past 15 years. I am ready, willing, and able to use my practical experience and proven leadership skills in our state and local government.

 

Ask yourself these questions: Am I ready for someone in government who has creative solutions for my concerns? Do I want more from a government than just higher taxes and less choice?
